What is the Gastronomic Forum?

In 2010, UNESCO declared Mexican cuisine as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The VI World Forum of Mexican Gastronomy unites academics, professional chefs, food and beverage producers, cooks, traditional cooks, and many more people from different fronts involved

with Mexican cuisine.

The purpose of the Forum is to promote the culture and image of Mexico through its cuisine, to make its culinary traditions more fully known and to open a space that facilitates the exchange of ideas, knowledge, techniques, products, and dishes to celebrate and learn more about the cuisine of Mexico.

Objectives

  1. To convert the World Forum into an emblematic platform to bring together all those involved in the gastronomic sector, with the aim to exchange knowledge, experiences, information, and at the same time interact with other significant gastronomic proposals in the field of food and other culinary cultures on a global scale.

  2. Consolidate this call as a powerful means to project nationally and internationally Mexico, and strengthen its economic, commercial, and tourism activities through its cuisine.

  3. Contribute to the coordination of efforts by the federal government and civil society to achieve compliance with the plan of action prescribed by UNESCO.
